Seeing another hard disk on a networked Laptop

    I have set up a home network on our PC's in the house. I can find the shared document folders on the other pc's but I can't access the hard drives from another PC on the network. I have tried setting up a simple shortcut amongst the shared document folders but this shows up as a cd drive on other pc's in the house? Is it possible to access other hard drives or can I only access the shared folders? (I hope this makes Sense)

    Cheers, I have found a way of doing it by right clicking and going to the sharing tab on the drive I want to share. Thanks.

    This is strange now, My Desktop can see my Laptops shared drive but my Laptop cannot see my desktop's shared files/Drives? Also cannot connect to my shared printer on the desktop via the laptop.
