I think it looks ok... granted, not as beautiful as previous Mac's, but definately not an "ugly sister".

Definitely not as pretty as others, but still nice. I might think about getting one in the Summer.

    If there's a 12" version or maybe a 10.4" maybe.

    Think I'll wait for a Rev.B

Price is not worth it. I got a 17" Dell XPS gaming system for the same price and the spec on my machine is actually better then that.

Does any one know if the ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with up to 256MB memory on 16-lane PCI Express is any good?

Sounds like an intergrated card but if not would this bring the mac to gaming main stream?

I'd be interested in getting one but I'd have to wait and see how they pan out and wait for a few revisions to come out

looks nice and thin. If I had money to burn I'd buy one, wipe OS X and run windows XP on it. Just to annoy the hell out of those mac fans..... :D

How's it ugly?? It looks just like the old powerbook which to be fair were quite nice.I think I read somewhere that there replacing the 12" with a 13.3" version

Specs aren't comparable, different OS and CPU. Thats like comparing Athlon and Pentium speeds

A dual core pentium M (mac) vs a single core pentium M(dell).

Not totally different.... Same cpu family.

People are going to be lookig at specs a bit more now that mac are using stanard x86 architecture pcs like every other major pc vendor in the market.

Suppose, but a very different OS either way

If only the tight bastards would release their operating system for use on generic x86 hardware, I'd buy it in a flash... and dual boot it with windows :)

Definately, that would spark a huge Windows/Mac/Linux war :D
