Children of bodom snthesiser tone?

My guitarist is a killer fan of children of bodom and hes been looking for ages now on how to find that children of bodom weird type of synthesiser solo tone they have.Unfortunatly to this day he still doesnt have a clue what it is and hell im really curious to see what effect it is too.

Anyone know what it is?

Im probably wrong here, but to me, I always thought that the keyboardist played along with the guitarist to produce 'that tone'.

yeah its defo the keyboards man.
they dont use heavily effected guitars.

Didnt know they had a keyboardist myself(i just listen to there music), thanks for the info but damm itd be really cool if someone made an effect to get that tone.

Aye, but the POG is "rather" expensive weighing in at €360 from Thomann.

And yes thats the keyboardist playing along with Laiho in CoB..
