Hey all, my bro is looking for a small studio to work in. Dublin city centre or nearby. As he says himself something that is a firehazzard is in his price bracket, a sink would be heavenly... Any advice, leads pointers etc is as always extremely welcome.
thanks in advance for any replies...

Anyone know of places you can hire for shorter times...? Hours, days, two weeks...? Just seems a bit pricey considering I'd only need it two or three times (if even that) a month for what I do...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I am looking for someone to share a studio space with in fairview. It is an equipped jewellery place that is being shared by two jewellers, but is big enough for a painter or two or anyone who wants it, as it has been partitioned off into different sections. Any queries welcomed?

Hey clodo, I'm sniffing about for a studio at present, what's the deal with this fairview thing?

    All artists.

I am a graphic designer with a whole basement office in Dublin City Centre (D2). It's massive.

Very basic, but with a bathroom, separate sink, electricity. Cold, so bring your own heater. I am willing to discuss rents, terms and periods to suit. Would be great to have creative people around the place.

It also has the realistic potential of evolving into a gallery, or certainly suitable for the odd show. All enquiries welcome. I am also looking to make some kind of long term success of the venue and will be always available to assist with marketing, signage etc etc if something like that evolves.

Mobile is nearly out of battery as I type this, but leave a message if you can't get me. I'll be straight back to you.

I'm looking for a studio space or even just a room in the city centre to rent for painting. I don't mind if it's small/basic so long as it's bright and isn't too pricey. If anyone has any info, please pm me or let me know, thanks.

Great studio space in an old Victorian builiding just of Thomas St 1 min from Christchurch (5 mins from centre) www.lacatedralstudios.org . I need someone to share who works in the evenings as I use the space during the day (from 5pm till morn). 6 months initially, longterm available, €30 per week (fantastic value!) and ideal location. It's got great light, spacious for 1 person, 23 other studios so has a creative atmosphere and large space for possible exhibitions etc. Can be anything from fashion designers to photographers and painters etc. No spray paint though as fumes will knock out the other occupants!

If you are interested I can give you details like pics of the studio etc.

Sink, toilets, communal area, fridge and kettle also on site.

    Cheers!
    Sharon

Hey, these guys have space at the moment www.dublinartmill.com
and they are looking to open a new craft space: this was posted on creative careers:

Mill Street Studios is developing a further 200 square metres into a Ceramics Studio, which it expects to open in early 2010, and will form a new part of the existing community, benefitting from the Gallery, public spaces, and other facilities.
The exact nature of the project, and its physical layout, will depend on inputs from interested parties.

The proposal at this stage is to attract:
One or two networks, or up to twelve artists, in permanent residence.
One or two established artists, to run workshops or classes independently.

and to divide the physical space into:
Showrooms to the Front – run by the residents.
Two separate shared workspaces, semi-partitioned into five or six booths.
A more communal area also to be used for workshops.
A kiln area to the rear.

There is no plan at this time for Mill Street Studios to supply equipment, other than sinks, and power outlets for electric Kilns, and furniture (shelving etc.)
Gas fired Kilns will not be permitted.

If you feel that you would like to be a part of this project, and have an early input into the plan and operation, please contact hazel@dublinartmill.com
We will be running a number of Open Days in December, to show the space, and discuss artists requirements.

A schematic of the space can be seen at
    http://www.dublinartmill.com/home/images/ground.pdf
Location map can be found at
    http://www.dublinartmill.com/home/home.html
Photos will be on the website shortly.
