is it at all plausible that a black man would look like anthony hopkins?

"black" as a description is nonsense, as almost everybody in existence will be able to trace an ancestor of a markedly different race to that which they perceive themselves to be. Anyway, one of the inspirations for Coleman Silk was Anatole Broyard, who looked like this.

Quite possible one of the most offensive film ever made. But it does remind me of the time someone put black shoe polish on in there face and hands in fifth year to play Othello. He was probably just about as convincing Hopkins

You think it was offensive that athony hopkins played a black man? Don't see why. No different to Brad Pitt playing a Traveller (or did that also offend you?)

I didnt find it offensive racially, I was offened that a studio thought that people might acept that Anthony Hopkins could actually be a Black. They didnt even try to darken his skin with make up. Iam sure Moe had some shoe polish left from Othello he could of loaned them if they were that badly stuck. I'am sure If you look at the younger version of the charecter he looks like he might just have a strong tan. Then the fim returns to the present and you see hopkins and he looks like a Albino who has been locked in a basement for the past ten years.

I also found it offensive that they had the nerve to charge me ten blips into this garbage.
