It was one of the strongest episodes of the season. Only 3 episodes left, lets hope they end the season strongly.

His name is colm meaney dude, this is the real world.

On a whole it wasn't a terrible SG-A episode, in comparison to what's been a dreadful season. There aren't any arcs, the episodes are pointless and there's no character development. New writers please.

Colm Meaney is INDESTRUCTABLE! (we never actually saw him die!) :p

That was a good episode, even though I knew they wouldn't get another ZPM so easily.

Pretty decent. I've always felt the Genii stories were more interesting than the Wraith who are, already, extremely tiresome and - far worse - not without any sense of threat.

The triple bluff was done well enough and in keeping with their duplicitous politics and I hope that we're not going to suddenly become friends with them - far more fun to have the idea of a human-agressor running around, as I hope, and nuking any planets with any Wraith influence. Any race as callous as this lot is good by me.

Harsh. However, this season is definetely lacking guidance. Once they had Atlantis vanish, they seemed to forget about the arcs bar a couple of nods to maybe finding substitutes for Wraith desires. Given SG1 have a bigger mythology base to work off AND that they're doing an arc this year, SGA is being shown up.

I don't really think there's character development too much either. I certainly see little new in Sheppard's attitude althouh perhaps McKay is a little bit stronger and assertive in a moral sense. Teyla never changes but at least Ronin has had development in the sense he didn't exist last year. And Forde is far more fun in his new guise.

Fingers crossed that SGA picks up for the year's end and doesn't just go for another "oh the Wraith are coming back for us" storyline...

    Very good.

The only bad thing about this episode was how nobody thought of sending Deadalus to save the hostages. Other than that dumb piece, the episode was flawless.
Everybody got enough to time to do their parts and do them well, from Weir's diplomacy to Beckitts life saving.

The only thing that stopped me giving this episode an 'A' was it's lack of action scenes.

    Great stuff.

I liked this episode a lot - one of the best Atlantis episodes in a while.

Agree with senordingdong - the lack of action scenes really let it down. :(

I really enjoyed this episode, if only to see the SG:A military actually behave as if they are military. [The storming of the compound I felt was really well done, flashbangs, and sweeping the place in a really efficient manner]

But it did leave a few potential plot hooks for next season, for example, the genii trying to synthesise the ancient gene. Wonder what they could be trying to do.

was thinking the same, but I would imagine it's prolly off on some mission, or being repaired, you know, any of the usual xcuses, lol.

@ the episode, twas one of the better eps of this season, IMHO. The triple bluff was great, I was half xpecting it anyway, but I was still surprised when it happened. I'm sure Miles O Brien , :p is still very much alive, though.

Dont worry about the chief Worf zoomed by in the Defiant and beamed him out at the last second.

Must admit liked the episode myself and the triple cross was good as was Ronon being a bit pissed off that there was no ransom on his head

You're thinking of SG1 and the Prometheus.
