    Feathard Lady is out of the Irish Champion Hurdle. Anyone else not the least bit surprised? The reason given is a minor setback but I think the lads from the Lord of the Rings are confident of their chances in the English version and would like the price to stay around where it is now.

    I also didn't expect for one minute, despite the different ownerships, that he'd run Feathard Lady against Brave Inca.

    I agree. What he intends to gain out of not running them against each other I don't know.
    I have been backing Brave Inca like a lunatic since xmas and would have liked to see them together so I would have an idea whether to keep punting or stop now.
    I have a suspicion that she is not quite as good as Brave Inca and if she was beaten in the AIG would Rubens look elsewhere??

    I'm less sceptical than you guys, the fact that they have different owners would suggest that there is an injury with Feathered Lady. I couldn't see an owner agreeing to having their horse withdrawn from a prestigous race like the AIG to accomodate another horse from a different owner in the same yard.

    I've seen a good interview with Murphy on A T R and he said there would be no probs regarding running them against each other.As stated above, diff owners ,diff jockeys so I don't see why people are being sceptic about it.
