Didn't catch the full results on the main event.
who was the top boards player? and where did every1 else finish (that went in for the 50e bet).
I was 50th .Called pat griffens all in after he came over the top of my raise.he had 9 4 os against my AK.I raised to 10 k and it was around 64 k more to call.I knew he had trash but im still debating whether i should have called. i was left with only 12k after pat hit a nine. Was any1 here at the same table ?

You just answered your own question. You can't give up any edge in this tournament. With this payout structure and 3 days of poker you are playing for top 5 places only. Well played btw.

The bet was changed at the start of day two going to the person that bubbled, Karlh got it I think he went out around 40th, Samba would have won the original bet, think he came 16th.

You had to call Pat Griffin, he obviously had muck and 60% of the time you are cruising into the money

I think Pat could be described as Irelands answer to Gus Hansen

Ah so that was you? I was speaking to Pat just after that, he was surprised you called. Personally it depends on the situation and player as to whether I would call or not. I am not fond of calling for nearly all my chips with AK at that stage of a tournament. I think it is an easier call earlier on than at that stage.

I think he would scare the **** out of even gus.He even got to Andy Black who called pats all in with KQ against pats AQ.
I think every1 at the table was waiting to have a crack at pat.(he was raising every pot). The guy to my left took him on with KQ ( pat had AA this time) . he hit KK on the flop and doubled up.Pat went on tilt after this. The funny thing was that the player to his left nearly called (he had AK ) but was afraid to take the 2 of us on if i also called (which of course i wouldn't if he had).
He was knocked out before the the money and went off to the fitz for a cash game.Would have been an interesting cash game me thinks

    .

Yeah i was talking to him in the bar after he was knocked out and he said that to me but if you saw Pats face when i started counting out chips AA or KK where never going to be there.I was slightly worried about a very small poket pair but to be honest i didn't belive he even held that. Also i had made up my mind earlier that i wasn't going to limp into the money and would have to take a gamble at some point in the tourney so i have no regrets really.

Apparently he took more out of the fitz than 4th place took in the main event so not a bad week. I also heard he is ripping up online for 6 figures in the last 2 months.

Saw him playing in the 2/5 NL cash game in the Macau with a 10k stack so he must be doing something right

Is this a regular game or was it only for the festival?
