I'm thinking of buying some UK, European shares to lessen my exposure in the maturing 'Tiger Economy'.

Does anyone know exactly what the implications are in terms of CGT on share capital gains and Income Tax on dividends? Do I have to pay these taxes in both countries ?

Or is there some kind of relief as in the Double Taxation Agreement, which allows taxes to be set off in the home coutnry against whatever's already been paid.
