It's a new breed of tree that is communicating with the plant world zorborg, They are planning an invasion and have been working on Earth for years first with green tree hugging hippys as their spy and then using $ky as a front for mass brainwashing and for extracting wealth from the human population.

from the looks of it the trees branches are bare - u said it was done around christmas - so when the tree blossums during the summer I guess the occupants are going to loose their signal and get charged a whopping call out fee! -- What a cowboy! - (wonder if that was ian ****** tv in ballymoney?)

why does everyone here keep insulting cowboys?

Actually the dish and tree are on the entrance to seafields golf club just on the avenue as you turn towards the club house. I only found out today who
installed it and it wasn't Ian.............s.tv

We should do a name and shame thread - were companies who did absolute shocking installs are named and shamed!
This might even be a guide for who to go to for others!

If an installer (sorry bout insulting cowboys!) decides that the only place he can get a signal from 28.2 is above the entrance to your house!

or puts the dish slap bang in middle of the front of the house!

Tells you that having the dish on the chimney breast is not part of a standard install!

The following week after a breeze knocks the alignment out that this call constitutes a Charge!

Runs a large black cable from the dish down the front of a white painted building or vice versa runs a white cable down the front of a dark building!

Doesn't perform a "forced download from the satellite before initialising the card"

Drills a hole in your window sills to put the cable through!

Runs over the dog/cat with his truck,

puts in the front bedroom window while puting up his ladder!

    loosens/brakes tiles in the roof

drills through a radiator puting the telephone line to the box

drills through a radiator puting the coax in!

Arrives 12 days later than the sheduled appointment/callback!

uses staples/office clips/ blue tack/superglue to hold the dish in place

(I was a good installer- I never did any of those things!)

very funny instance - I got the ntl digital a year ago for the kitchen and 2 men came out to the house to fit! -one i presume to put the box under the tv the other to connect the cable between the wall outlet and the box!

I had a sky install performed on the house and one man came out to fit everthing dish, cable, phone etc!

good idea but some guys have different ideas on what constitutes good/bad practice, chimney install being a case in point.

Best story I've ever come across was a guy who went up on a roof armed with dish analogue decoder and portable Tv with a mains lead. He drops the portable which slides down the roof and puts and nice dent in the cuatomers car in the driveway as well as of course smashing the Tv set.

Best part was it was not even his Tv, he borrowed it from the customer.

There may be a restrictive clause in the house purchase contract preventing installation of dish on house (yes I saw the one in the background :D ) so this may be the only solution .

Alternatively the one in the background is a single lnb and the 'suspect' one is a monoblock, would the SAME tree not appear to block the one in the back and could this be the sky + solution to the dodgy sky signal picked up by the wall mounted one in the background ??

It may be the best solution possible :D and a triumph of ingenuity as long as the screws or bolts used to fix the dish do not poison the feckin tree and kill it.

all is not as it seem I says

Funnily enough i heard today the two guys who fired this dish on to the tree
are known as John Wayne and Roy Rogers and have a bad reputation
    around north Wexford
