Rang Sky this morning to cancel - I have full package, but also have NTL analogue cable, so was going to switch my digital over to NTL. Spoke to a helpful lady in Sky and she put me on a new pricing rate - €13 per month off for the next year, effective immediately, no strings attached (not a new contract).

Worth trying if you're with Sky. I don't know what the criteria are to qualify, I suppose being on the full package and with them for a few years helps, but there's no harm in anyone giving it a whirl.

I asked about getting the reduced rate permanently, she said it's a 12 month reduction, but she hinted that if I called back in a year with the same request i.e. a cancellation, that I'd get it again.

    Excellent Tip !

Just done the same myself .. had no intention of canceling but asked them to cancel my sub and they offered me a 20% discount for 12 months.

    Fair Play !

That'll cover the monthly cost of the Multiroom I was just about to order :D
