A mate of mine missed the law ball for me a few years ago cos I had the flu, thought that was seriously cool of him, even though I felt as guilty as sh1t about it and still do

Also, not the nicest thing ever but last week when I was working in MAYOhh (long story:eek: ) a friend of mine drove up from galway just to say hi thought it was pretty cool

Yeah not the best thread but I'll reply!

Best thing done for me I suppose was when a former gf of mine arranged a surpise wk-end away...

oh n when my Dad bought us tickets for the Man Utd v Spurs game 1999 (last game of season, saw them lift premiership - happy days!)

I think this is good thread; just lets us appreciate people and the nice things they have done for us that we might take for granted.

Anywho... I really appreciate it when people take time out of their busy schedule to just want to hang out and talk. Some of my older friends would be busy, but would still pick me up and we'd go hang out for a couple of hours, just to catch up on what's going on.

Oh, what a feel good thread, I love it!

One of the nicest things done for me was when I was feeling a bit low while away from home (in Stockholm, Sweden at the moment) and some very good friends surprised me, called in and made dinner for me. So nice.

Another thing was when I decided to go and my boyfriend immediately booked 2 separate trips to come see me. Such a gem!

    More feel good stories please!

My sis threw a mini suprise birthday party for me once.. granted there was only my immediate family present I was quite touched because we'd been fighting constantly in the weeks running up to it.. Twas quite a nice gesture..

    :p

Hasn't the thought occured to you that sometimes people post threads like this just because they wanted to know?
Its harmless, not every thread has to be controversial or debate provoking.

Now to the answer to your thread Eminem- there are loads of things my family and friends have done for me. many of them are only small gestures, but equally as heart-warming.
Suprise shopping trips, or little presents like something you have been after for a long time and gave up on finding it. I like to do the same things for them.
Has someone done something for you recently that spurred you on to start the thread?

The gf shedding a tear this morning, eventhough im only going away for 3 days ... It's nice to be loved :)

my husband killed the king because i asked him to so that he would then become king and i, consequentially, queen :D

no, on a less sarcastic note...

i love when people send me a text message wishing me good luck or happy birthday or something like that that requires them to actually remember something. it feels nice to get a message like that, to know that someone is thinking of you. it's a very simple gesture, but it honestly makes me feel good to know that someone remembered me and thought of me.

Awwww... Thats sooo nice! Sniff sniff!!

Eminem I think its a lovely thread! Some people are so negative!

The most recent thing that stands out for me is, last week I was having a really bad bad day.. you know one of those days where it just seems as if everything is going wrong! I was really upset all day... when my boyfriend picked me up from work he brought me home turned on the heating and made me a cup of tea wrapped me up in a blanket and left but came back 5 minutes later with a load of girly dvd's and a chinese!! He just made me feel soooo much better giving me lil kisses and hugs all night!!

Its small things like that I appreciate the most! :o:)

I was vomited from the womb into a world of unknown.
After the initial shock and suspicion that was the nicest thing ever done for me.

    Your poor mother
Do you think its easier for you to say she vomited you instead of accepting your actual point of exit ;)
