Scots Cup highlights on DSat.

I noticed last Saturday night that the Scottish Cup highlights were blanked out on BBC Scotland on digital satellite. Is this because the rights were signed before the BBC regions went FTA in the summer of 03 and therefore they cannot be shown outside of Scotland? How long until this deal is up for renewal?

Is it true that anything signed after this date is available to all BBC regions since 'Match of the Day' English Premiership highlights are on everywhere including BBC Scotland? Are the SPL highlights available on Scottish ITV regions?

I think that the current Scottish Cup contract runs out this season, signed between Sky and BBC Scotland. It works in tandem with the Scottish international contract (which Sky show live and BBC Scotland highlights) and that ends after a qualification season (such as a World Cup or Euro championship) I'm pretty sure this is the case, which means that that one was signed before the BBC went FTA and is blocked on satellite.

Subsequent deals with the FA Premier League etc take account of FTA status.

SPL higlights are shown on Monday evenings on ITV regions serving Scotland (STV, Grampian and Border) How fine that contract is, I dunno.
