Static Cable

I have got a static band to stop the static electricity from getting into the computer. The one I was looking at was one you plugged into the earth socket, the one I have is one with an allogator clip on it:( , where do I put this allogator clip to get rid of the static. Thanks

radiator in your house would be your best bet
