Hi all, just wondering if anyone has come across a good deal on a wireless router in the sales as I'm looking to go wireless at home. Ideally, I'd like a router and DSL modem in one box and ditch the modem I have but any bundle at the right price is down for consideration.

How many PC's are you going to have on the network?

This is a decent bundle :

Some people hate Linksys and other people swear by them so it's up to yourself really

I've the netgear dg834g which cost about €100 from Amazon and at the time came with a free PCMCIA wireless card.
That and a belkin wifi USB dongle for each comp you want to wirelessly network is a pretty good deal IMO,
Doddle to set up; I knew very little about wireless when I got it and learned a lot from setting it up and using it...

There may be cheaper but I went with the reviews the netgear got...

Harvey Norman (Airside, Swords) have Belkin Wireless Routers at very respectable prices ~70-80Euro.
    With a 10% Discount.

They have a pretty large range of kit from other manufacturers too.

I've bought two routers off them recently and they are pretty good.

In case anyone's interested, I invested in a Linksys ADSL Modem/Router and USB adaptor (both supporting SpeedBoost for faster networking) bundle from PC World for 130 Euro. You can get a similar bundle with a router instead of a modem/router for 90 Euro. Not a bad deal, I thought.

Maplin currently have a linksys package containing, wireless router (- no modem), USB wireless adapter and PCMCIA wireless card going for 99 euro IIRC

The one I saw in Maplin was a Linksys router and PCMCIA adaptor only for 89 Euro.
