    Watch here!

Typical teaser.. not much dialogue but lots of music.

Looking forward to an actual theatrical trailer with dialogue!

I think it being in colour is enough said. Some films don't need sequels.

Since he wrote and directed it, I believe it's his decision to make a sequel. If you don't want to see it, don't go.

Apparently this teaser was just a way to get some footage out and show the characters off.

That's weird, I thought he was finished with all the Askewniverse films (the ones in Jay and Silent Bob's world), after Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. Ah well, if I made Jersey Girl I'd seriously reassess my decisions too.

Yea, I don't hold much hope for this to be honest. I think Smith promised Jason Mewes that if he cleaned up his act (stop taking drugs) he would let him play Jay one more time.

A Clerks sequel seems pretty unneeded alright.

Who's the hot chick? She looks like a tranny. That's okay though, you're not gay if you didn't know, right?

    The blonde or the brunette?

Hope you're not referring to the lovely Rosario Dawson (the brunette) as a tranny?..

The blonde is Kevin Smith's real life wife, Jennifer who appeared in both 'Jersey Girl' and 'Jay And Silent Bob'.

Ive already seen clerks in colour ala that music VID they did and it did it now harm at all. Think this will be great. Then I think Kevin Smith cant put a foot wrong. Jersy girl was not great but had its moments.

Thought Jersey Girl was a pile of poo myself and I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan.
Chasing Amy is my second favourite film of all time (right after Some Like It Hot).

Re Clerks 2, it might work but it's low budget charm was one of the best things about it the first time round so I hope he doesn't go over the top with the production.

can't really judge much by that trailer. Yeah it was the dialogue that made Clerks. Hopefully this will be good.

Well rape my mouth and call me Melany. That is indeed who I was talking about, though I hadn't watched the trailer. Rosario sure is a fox. I'll definitely be seeing this one (in my long raincoat, it'll probably be rainy that day).

So, it's the same characters but older doing pretty much the same stuff. The dialogue would have to be exceptionally witty for this to be more than a money-spinning rehash...

despite what you non-belivers think i am looking forward to this :p

given kevin smith hasn't been on form for a while, revisiting some old characters in a farmiliar setting could give him some freedom (if that's the right word) to write some good stuff again.

of course, that all goes to hell if it isn't an 18's rated movie.

Get that 'Buffalo Bill' ref inta ya, now that is funny.

I dunno, he's making it well on the cheap, might be the edgy stuff we have missed from Jersey Girl (which is officially poo), although the Directors Cut is supposed to be quite different.

    Looks worth watching to me!

And it's got the guy who plays Marshall Flinkman in Alias!

Mind you, Jason Mewes and the guy with the whiney voice have really aged in those 10 years...

Really looking forward to this, just praying it doesn't disappoint. But even if it did suck, it still wouldn't take anything away from clerks, so great wa sthat movie. Just got the Clerks X special edition the other day for 17e. class, and has the animated scene of what happened at the wake - classic! (also ties things up much better with Mallrats)

Of course... you ever seen any of Kevin Smith's films? Jason Lee has featured in every one apart from the original Clerks and Jersey Girl... as far as i know!

Never forget his show-stealing performance as Brodie in Mallrats!

Actually.. couple of Kevin Smith in-jokes in 'My Name Is Earl' as Jason Lee (Earl Hickey) and Ethan Suplee (Randy Hickey) had a scene together in 'Mallrats' which has been referenced at least once or twice. One being earlier in the series, Earl wakes up Randy to which he responds half-asleep with the phrase "poopytrim!". There's a scene in Mallrats which mirrors that.

PS - also spotted Marshall Flinkman from 'Alias' doing the brillant 'Mannequin Skywalker' bit. Funny cos it's true!

Hit the nail right on the head, thats exactly what Clerks had going for it, the fantastic dialogue held it all together. Hopefully Cklerks 2 has the same type of dialogue and just keeps it real without going over board.

As for jersey girl....... as a Kevin Smith Fan lets just say, What's Jersey Girl Kevin Smith never made a film called Jersey girl.
