Anyone out there done the MCDBA? I've been considering doing one for a while as SQL Server constitutes quite a large part of my job but I've a few questions about it:

What was your overall experience of the course?
How long did it take you?
Which method did you use to prepare for the exams (i.e. course, distance learning, etc)?
Did you find it helped your career/boosted your salary level, or if you are an employer, how do you rate the qualification when interviewing job candidates?

I'd really apreciate if anyone could get back to me on this as it's a major investment of both time and money and I'd rather not get into it only to discover I should have gone for an Oracle DBA or something else instead.

Like all microsoft certifications it is useful only if you can already do the job.

You will definitely learn LOADS and it sounds well suited to you tbh.

You would be far better off to become an oracle apps dba, but if you have the micro**** skills already just buy the cheat books and get the cert.

as for how you get the oracle apps skills...

    that's your problem.
