GulfAir flights to Sydney?

    Has anyone flown GulfAir? I'm going to Sydney in March and just saw their ad in todays Metro. best price I've been abale to find so far. Bmi from Dublin - London, then GulfAir from London - Bahrain, Bahrain - Sydney for €980.

    Sounds like a deal. Does anyone have any experience with the airline?

    Gulf has a reasonably ok reputation. Nothing spectacular though. Check out http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/gulf.htm for reviews. carsurvery.org also has a good airline review section.

    Gulf fly direct from Dublin to Bahrain on certain days - might be worth checking out fares for DUB - BAH - SYD and save yourself a stop over in Heathrow. Fares for that seem to start at €949 according to their online booking service at gulfairco.com

    They were featured on "airport" a few years ago on ITV1 about Heathrow.
    They are pretty good judging on that.

    However:

    the reviews though mostly on business class are not good.
    The one or two economy reviews on this dont inspire confidence

    The fare you were quoted seems to be the cheapest I can find also for march 06
