Do 42E channels show football FTA?

    Hi all,

    Does anybody know whether Kanal A and Ictimai TV actually show football FTA? I know, e.g. NTV Turkey is FTA but they don't broadcast via satellite. Others like TV 8 do show European footie...

    Supersport also has FTA football, but since I don't follow the sport and you haven't specified, I have no idea if it is the kind of matches you want.

    I thought I do get NTV on 42E, but don't remeber seeing Ictimai TV

    Check www.lyngsat.com, Europe Frequencies, 42E (not satellite name).

    Note that the EAST beam can't be received any more west than Greece! West Beam (nearly as strong as Sky) and one of the spot beams is OK. Check footprints.

    I'm interested in Spanish football... Pretty hard to get without paying, I know!

    I have found out Ictimai TV is from Azerbaidjan and it's on the East beam, so no luck there. However, I've seen that Kanal A show French football, and I remember seeing it!

    So if anybody is interested, Real Madrid-Athletic Bilbao, Spanish cup, this Thursday, 8pm, Kanal A, Turksat 42E, in Turkish...

    Oh, and I also get NTV but they just don't broadcast football games, only a screen saying they only do so in Turkey or something similar I think.

    TV8 shows premiership, sometimes encrypted, sometimes not.

    According to LJ's, NTV is showing Real Betis v Atlético Madrid and Valencia v Osasuna on Saturday FTA and on Sunday, Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao on NTV and Ictimai TV and later on that day, Real Madrid v Sevilla is on NTV.
