Lovebirds Not Breeding, possibly gay?

I have 3 lovebirds in the avery out the back, were nearly sure we have 2 opposite sexes in there and we have seen them breeding, time and time again, but nothing has ever happened. Are my lovebirds gay? They have been doing it for the past 2 years and nothing. The nest boxes are perfectly mounted at the back and they are all in great nick, we put countless trees of willow in there and one of them makes the nest and everything, the other throws it at the other birds.

Any other bird breeders in Ireland? I also have 2 cockatiels, 3 budgies (1 pet, 2 1/2 pets) and I think 3 finches.

    Cheers!

Prolly have two males and one female, males will fight for breeding rights which will stress female who is unlikely to lay when stressed.

The one whos being aggressive, "throwing nests at other birds" may simply be a male who is more territorial than the other male in the aviary. Or could simply be a bitchy female who wants *everything*.......... lol, dont be fooled into thinking "lovebirds" are allways nice gentle and quiet lol. (I have scars that say otherwise) lol ;)

Do you have the the tiels, budgies, and finches in the same aviary?
If so, tiels and budgies will often get rid of others eggs once laid and often take over nest box (even tho it might not seem that way).......an also, what type of finches? Are they exotic, or plain old zebra or bengalese?

(dont get me wrong, zebras and bengalese can be wonderfull, I once had one I managed to hand rear who was amazing,... but they *do* breed like mice which *could* be what that lovebird is destroying).

(No bird will breed unless it feels its nest will be secure and safe from other more aggressive birds).

You might have all males. Males will often mate with each other out of frustration but that doesn't mean they're gay. Rabbits are the same, they'll even mate with cats etc as well. My (male) budgie sings to my (male) cockatiel and feeds him too. He completely mothers him. It's actually quite amusing to watch considering the cockatiel is 3 times his size.
