netopia eircom modem

hi lads
how are we
i got a netopia modem from eircom
i got 2 computers hooked up to it: via network cable and usb
the network connection is grand but the computer with the usb is failing to get a connection - this happened all of a sudden for no reason imo

so i just stuck in the eircom cd and tried to reinstall the modem
I got to the stage where it was saying about connect the blue usb cable, i did this and waited for it to pick it up, but it never did
i had this problem before when installing it for the first time-it took ages for it to see the usb cable
however its clear the computers see the cable due to the egg timer symbol appearing on the screen once its being plugged in!
any ideas wat the hell is going on with my computer thanks lads! o and happy new year!

Have you tried connecting via USB on the second computer...?

Remove the installed drivers via Device Manager. Remove any netopia software. Reboot the router and computer. Start again.

hoe do i get into device manager?

quickly: Start -> run -> devmgmt.msc -> OK
