£2 CDwow voucher

Saw this on a different forum (although not sure how long the promotion is valid for or how many vouchers are available!)

Go to www.cd-wow.com/thepeople and type in (IN CAPITALS) -
XU7F6-D97GJ , you will then be sent the e-voucher!

Ah it's OK. I'm gonna order something else now. I seem to be able to apply for more than 1 voucher, they've sent me 3 so far. Only 1 voucher per transaction though.

I was able to enter again and again, but when I checked the code it was the same one over and over so you will only be able to use 1.

BUT, the gmail trick is working where you put a +1 in the name.

e.g. if your address is john@gmail.com
enter john+1@gmail.com and you get a different code.
so copy the code XU7F6-D97GJ into you clip board and keep pasting it in. Your old email remains so just click and enter another digit, no need to delete.

i.e. use john+1@gmail.com
john+11@gmail.com
john+111@gmail.com
john+1111@gmail.com
john+11111@gmail.com
john+111111@gmail.com

I believe (although it doesnt say it on the email!) that these codes have a limited shelf life and are only valid for a few days (as its being run in accordance with The People newspaper) and also that its limited to 75000 £2 vouchers so might not be much use going mental getting £2 vouchers for stock piling them unless you got alot of orders you want to make!

Ah you're right! Ah well, I have 2 vouchers using 2 different email addys.

It might be worth setting up a gmail account just for this. I have 50 now! nothing to lose if they are limited, but there is no mention like samo said.

But, tried to use thye +1 trick, now says 'invalid code' ?
The voucher code given above is hardly run out is it?

Edit: Ooops, working fine now. Dunno what I did wrong....

You use the code above to to get another code emailed to you. You use the second code at the checkout by clicking "go" and pasting the code in there from the email.

This appears to be OVER as the 'people' address goes to cdwow homepage now.

Im not sure if the offer or the vouchers expire on wednesday, I guess it must be the voucher if the site is back to normal.

QOTSA dvd for 11.99 coming my way.

Tried this code, got a voucher, entered the voucher on the check out and it seemed to work. I.e. They charged my Credit Card, I got an order reference etc. but this morning I got a email back from cdwow stating the following:

"Your order has been cancelled for the following reason.

The Terms and Conditions of this promotion state:

Applicants must be 18 or over and live in the UK. Employees of cd-wow.com, their families and agencies, and anyone directly connected with the promotion is not eligible to apply

Therefore unfortunately, we cannot accept orders to be delivered to Ireland so your order has been cancelled and a refund processed back to your card."

So I guess they don't work for address in Ireland, UK Only, they might work for NI though.

Did you try doubling up the code with the discount link?
What did you buy? what value? I have heard of them no honouring if they do not make a profit.
