    Where do ye all eat?

Or at least, where is the best place to eat? I usually eat in the canteen but thats only because I can't afford to eat in the bar and Wards / G&L are too far away in the winter :(

The food in the canteen can be okay at times and it's cheap.

Wards is just across the road though and they do lovely rolls...

Wards do hideously overpriced rolls. One of the lads got one for ****ing six fifty. It's the college bar all the way.

AND a Ward's roll doesn't fill you up.

    It's all hype.

Well they are a bit on the expensive side alright but like I said, from my point of view, they are the closest, which makes my decision :) And are you really going to claim that canteen food is better?

Listen up, for directions to the roll of pwnage. Centra at the bottom of eyre square, get a large roll with just sausages and ketchup, it cost E3.50, bargain, well filling too!

Hah, same place - chicken tikka roll= €1.80.
And Certain people - Wards are the closest? Closest to what, the canal? The college bar is on campus, the hub is on campus and ain't bad either. If as you say, the distance makes your decision, then you have to choose one of the two I mentioned. FFS, a dinner in the bar costs just forty cent more than that roll I mentioned.

I eat in the canteen, just chips when I am starving, nothing else. Other places are too dear but when I want some classical music I eat in moffits. :)

    I agree with Wet-Paint.
    College Bar is great.

I've yet to go into Moffett's. Is it nice? Tis a bit more expensive isn't it?

    Does anyone eat in G&L?

Yer missing out if ye don't! Cheaper rolls than Wards, not as much selection but who cares when all you want is the Southern Fried Special or the Spicy Chicken Special! Lovely stuff.

Tell Eddie Hobbs, he'll sort them out. In an adenoidal kind of way.

I think I'll have a Wards roll now because I haven't had one in ages and with this new information, I'll feel like a decadent millionaire eating it. Foie gras roll with caviar, barbeque sauce and coleslaw please.

It's very nice, bit more expensive ya. The potatoes in the college bar are quite great.

Used to go into G&L every day last year, friend worked there to so nice to say hi, a lot of my friends get that special but I don't eat there as the vegetarian option rather sucks.

Friars all the way. nice staff, respond to you when you talk to them.

Brought back chips one day because they weren't fully cooked, guy stopped ppl from serving chips, send them all back and brought me over a new plate when the fresh ones came out, and even appologised.

Imagine doing that in the canteen? I dont think so. And yes, it's only 1 yoyo for a plate of homemade chips.

It needs a mention, the coffee shop in the IT building. Great for a quick bite, no long Q's (cause no-one does IT)

No because it is expensive and crap.

I await the arrival of Sun-Dried Working-Class Foetus as a menu option.

Bloody typo, tried to change it but it wouldn't let me. Ah well, wouldn't be NUIG if there wasn't a few typos here and there.

Moffets is in the NCBES (biomed building) on the ground floor. Technically its the Enviornmental Change Institute but the "biomed building" is how its known.
