I have recently upgraded to BT broadband and discovered my Dell Dimensions 8200 did not have a network card so I am using a USB for connection to the modem. I would like to install an network card to free up USB port but I need some advice on type of card. There are lots on e-bay, some very cheap but are there different…

Just get a bog standard 10/100 as you will see no difference using a costlier gigabit NIC when only connected to an Irish BB DSL connection.

On the other hand if I were living in Sweden......gigabit all the way!!!
