Ok i know ive asked many a question about which bass to get here before but to me a grand is one fair ****ing chonga of change to be spending lightly, anyway ive searced basses high and low and after ages(around 6 months) looking for what new bass to get im thinking about getting a music man sub 5 string(was gonna get a warwick double buck but twas a bit annoying to play with the p/u's in there position) and i guess my question really is:

Does anyone else out there got any suggestions for a bass that would be better for a 1000 euro budget?

Heard good things bout spectors for example but i cant seem to track one down to play myself, any one have experiances with them?

Those Music Man Subs are fantastic basses, a friend of mine one, and blimey! So I'd definetly say the Music Man is serious bang for your buck considering your budget, and I'd recommend it.

I have a Musicman SUB, and it's one of the best basses I've ever played (except for the Stingray). Active electronics, manageable scale, pretty much the same as a Stingray with some corner cutting to keep the costs down.

    Go for it!
