Aiden Walsh Showcase gigs...anyone play/go the gigs?

Does anyone hear remember the Aiden Walsh gigs that used to be on every saturday/sunday in the temple bar music centre? My first gig in town was there..and my first kiss! Anyone want to share some old memories????

oh god- aidan definitely is a character. I managed a rock band at the tender age of 16 and I booked them one of the Sunday gigs. On the day it was raining and bloody miserable out, I'd say only 20 turned up. Then the drummers foot pedal was stolen. We got these crappy little laminated backstage passes with our photos on them and a tacky gold stick on star on it

I forgot about that meself...Aidan has a picture of almost every wannabe teenage rockstar in Dublin from the late 90s somewhere....including ourselves no doubt! All that pay to play nonsense!!! I remember we'ed all meet at the steps of the central bank(when there was no gate up)every saturday morning before the gigs and try to polish off a bottle of smirnoff between us all!!! Then you'ed walk ion and try and chat up some skater chicks!!!:D
