Who is the biggest band to ever play the buttery in your opinions?
I heard the clash and u2 have played there but i thought the clash played the ball?

whats the best night you've had in the buttery?
I thought the Queen tribute band were fairly good but I can't really remember many except Turn about two years ago...

Jerry Fish was fun a couple of years ago but other than that there's no band I can even remember let alone remember being impressed by. The Jimmy Cake played a gig there but I missed it because I managed to inhale some nastiness in a chemistry lab that day.

Best band at the ball were the Rapture hands down.

I saw BellX1 play the Buttery a few years ago - they were the best band i've seen play there.

The Smiths played there years and years ago.

2 years ago there was the likes of Jerry Fish, Declan O'Rourke, Turn, Nina Hynes, Redneck Manifesto, Republic of Loose (i could be wrong on the last 2 but chaces are they did)

last year The Walls, Iain Archer, The Chalets,

This year I have had Aslan, the Cureheads, and Queen Tribute band The Great Pretenders play so far.

Next week I've got Doolittle (Pixies tribute band), the week after a Christy Moore tribute,

on Tue 31st Feb (tuesday of RAG week) the Buttery will see the biggest gig it has seen in recent times. But who is playing?....

I pissed myself laughing when i was talking to these two freshers in the buttery in freshers week. they were all "oh my god, is the trinity ball as brill as it sounds? i cant believe the killers played last year!"

it took all my concentration not to spray a mixture of saliva and tuborg ALL over them in fits of laughter.
