Once you have bids on it, you cannot revise the auction. You can cancel the bids and cancel the auction then redo it with the reserve price. I would be majorly hacked off if a seller did not sell something because he did not get the right price. I would leave negative feedback for that.

I recommend you cancel the auction and re-list

you can revise your item description, payment and postage etc when you have no bids and/or more than 12 hours left on the listing time to go til auction end.

However you cannot change the auction format. In this case I would suggest depending on what type of product it is (if its a car for instance then cancel the bids and email the bidders to let them know you will be relisting it soon) that you leave it run until the end as 80% of people on eBay bid versus 20% who like to buy it now. You will always get an increase in watchers within the last few hours.

Whats the item number and i will evaluate the best thing to do. Also if you do just end it then email customer support and ask to be given a credit as it was a mistake and your first time as an over eager eBayer. You may get the credit back or you may not.

    Relisting Credit:
By the way you will not be able to avail of a relist credit fee as you will have changed the format of this single item listing and relist credit (on success) by the way are not given on multiple BIN's. The relist policy states that if you relist tghe same item and it sells the second time round then you get the insertion fees back from the first listing.

    PcWares...i know because i am.

Get a friend to bid on it. If he wins you can just both select "mark as paid" so there are no paypal fees, only the ebay ones
