    3 Peeps Left - Blinds 1000/2000

    Button: 7,000
    Peeko(SB): 13,000
    BB: 5,000

    Button: Mucks
Peeko: JJ, Raises to 4000 (Was just trying to pot commit BB by min raising)
    BB Calls (Calls. doens't raise)

    Flop brings Q47

Peeeko: All in (Lets see if he hit the Queen)
    BB: Allin??
    Peeko: Yep

Low and behold a stack of 5 greens(1000) emerge from behind his Reds (100).
Was absolutely sick! I know I should have known that he had more chips (even though hidden). But when looking at his stack with JJ I just assumed what I saw was full stack.

    BB: Call
    He has a 47o.

Thats the last time anyone will get away with hiding chips at that game. It wasn't intentional on his behalf, so it's hard not to be too bitter!! Do I just put this in the sh!t happens' category? I try to never min raise, maybe I'll stick to that rule! If this happened in a casino, what would happen?

If this happened in the casino there would be nothing to be done about it this time. However, players are meant to keep big chips visible at all times, and where there is a dealer it is their job to make sure this happens.

I think here it would be deemed up to you (esp since home game) just to check before you bet that he had only the visible chips left. You cannot take your bet back, even in a casino, because he ignored (or was ignorant of) a part of poker etiquette. It goes into the lessons learnt category imho.
