I was recommended Kerio Personal Firewall on an earlier thread and I now have it installed and it seems like a great app so thanks for that.

Problem is I need to open the list of ports listed in this page and I can't figure out how to get Kerio to open these ports - anyone know a place with good instructions as the Help section confused my simplistic mind!

    Thanks irlrobins.

That site doesn't have what I'm looking for though - I know what ports I need to open, and if I disable the Kerio firewall all works well, which would suggest to me that I don't need to setup any additional port forwarding on the router as the traffic is getting to the PC.

I just need to figure out how to open these ports in Kerio Personal Firewall.

sorry yea. my fault. I don't have kerios so can't help you. Normally, the firewall should detect an app trying to access a port and will allow you to choose to allow or deny access.

Network Security -> Applications -> Packet Filter -> Add...

Here you can set it to allow/deny based on IP addresses, ports, etc. This will open the ports for use by any application. The more common was to do it in Kerio though is to just grant the specific applications permission to accept incoming connections. You don't have to specify ports for this, they can use whatever ports they need.
