I was just thinking about what bands have stuff coming out in the following year, and what I have to look out for.
Undisputed number one for me is Dante XXI by Sepultura. It seems like forever since they released Roorback, and since they've started posting studio updates and teasers on their website, I've gotten pretty impatient!
Other albums, well, I read that Mastodon hope to have a follow-up to Leviathon in the summer, hope that comes out (I'm sure they're releasing a dvd in the meantime). I really hope that Machine Head release a new album, they've been touring Through The Ashes Of Empires since late 2003, I'd love some new material.
Also, isn't there meant to be the Dimebag box-set coming out? The one with unreleased material, including his country side-project he had going with Vinnie.

Anyway, there's just a few off the top of my head, feel free to add more.

Dante(sepultura) is the one that is really geting me exctited. i have THAT feeling about it. Rebel Vs Rebel i think will be fairly cool and a new Mastodon album. They would make me very happy.

Yeah man, I'm with you on the David Allen Coe album. Vinnie Paul described it as some of Dimebag's best playing ever. I heard some Damageplan/Dimebag stuff might see the light of day, but Vince is just getting his head together about it. Understandably so.

Dunno, all the bands I was waiting for released new albums towards the end of '05, so I'm not getting my hopes up for new releases in '06.

Having said that... Tool, Menomena (UAH was _not_ a proper album!), Decemberists... bleh.

New stuff is poor too. I wants more Mastodon, I want to see the return of tab sites and a general upturn in all things heavy.

March really, why? Trivium w/ God Forbid, Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonforce and In Flames. Not a bad month by any means, a nice mix in there! :D

Alter Bridge going back into the studio so should have a track or two by the end of the year.

Sane with Trivium's new album, The Crusade, should have a track or two off that aswell...

And with some luck maybe Glassjaw will be a real band again.

Cant wait for the new Pearl Jam album, its been a while coming but ive got a feeling its gonna be something special. Plus hopefully a return tour to Europe, its been a long time. And if the recent NA and South American tour is anything to go by then it should be savage!!
