I watched the opening celeb night last night mostly cos I had nothing else to do. Tbh some of the people in there this year would do my head in, I dont think I could stick watching it!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

Dunno really .. was doing the washing up lastnight when they were all going into the house, so I only heard the audio.

Barrymore should be interesting. His reasoning for going in there is clear though. He wants to clear his name from any bad press, and get back into presenting. Hmm .. wonder will it be.

The others looked a little scarey (Not that Barrymore isn't as well). We'll have to wait and see.
There is a blonde transvestite too. Who was that??

Needless to say, I won't be watching it every night. I might watch clips of shows and the final - thats it.

I don't know who most of them are, and I find the fact that Barrymore is in the house quite disturbing.
In my opinion It show's zero regard for the family of the man who was found dead at Barrymore'ss home.
But thats another thread topic altogether :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

But Barrymore was found not guilty!! And forensics he was found to have died from a drug over dose!!

I agree with you .. its disturbing for him to be in the house for me too, but not becuase I think Barrymore is guilty .. becuase of what actually happened to that kid.

    Enough ...

Oh I know he was cleared, I still feel it for the victims family though. He was a married man, with children, and was found to have suffered what they believe to be forced sex injuries, even if Michael Barrymore was found not guilty, I'd say its still difficult for the victims family to watch him, continuing on with his life and career, while their son/husband/daddy is dead, and no one really knows the events that led up to his death.

(apologies for spelling, just packing up to go home for the weekend :) )

I didn't say that. I merely said that from the family of the victims perspective, I can imagine it difficult for them to watch him.
    That is all!

I know what you mean sillysausage .. it would be difficult and the circumstances were pretty odd. Didn't he leave the house and go to a friends when the accident happened  - or something along those lines.

But .. innocent until proven guilty as they say.

i too would have jumped on THAT bandwagon with a comment similar to

"wouldn't it be great if we had a big brother forum "

    Tracey Bingham said "conceited"
    <falls off chair>

And she likes to sleep "in the nude"

    And doesn't wear any "panties"

    And has big "breasts"

    Posers tbh.

It's sad what happened to that man in 2001 but Barrymore has to get on with his life too, he obviously wants to get back in to presenting and being in the public eye so this is the best way for him to do it in his eyes. That family will be reminded of their son/husband/brother's death every day for the rest of their lives anyway whether Barrymore is in the public eye or not.

Whatever you say ! so watching people sleeping at 3 in the morning or watching piss ups on "celebritities who wish to go on big brother"

I wonder why people watch them at all. We all know its a leech and is quite a reality and that is why people are drawn to it because its live and is very real,
But point being its a show about wasters looking for a revival.

How stupid and pathetic is that never mentioning the fact who watches them

if you don't like it, don't watch it, don't talk about it, don't post about it.. it's even more pathetic to preach about how pathetic YOU think people are who watch it!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭mysterious

its beginning to sound aggressive  Im entitled to my opinion, just as much as you are, Capslock is considered aggressive, however im not going to react to your last comment , you didn't need to jump in the scene!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

you didn't need to post in the thread in the first place.. no one cares what your opinion is. If you don't like the programme and think people who watch it are pathetic, why bother wasting your own time in reading this 'pathetic' thread?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭mysterious

after the "watever" reply they are probably just trying to up their post count.

Whats the story with girl who isn't a celeb? Can't remember her name, and do you think she was being serious when she said she didnt know what a gynecologist was?

Hi Orla, I think her name is Chantelle or something along those lines. I would hope she wasn't sersious about not knowing what one of those was!! :)

I flicked it on lastnight for a bit and there was Michael Barrymore hitting someone with a knife that had a blue ball attached to it (very suspect indeed).

    Where is the celebs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭Oral Slang

Yeah was thinking that myself - there's really only about 2 english celebs in there - Barrymore & Jodie Marsh. Most of the others aren't in the limelight enough to be classed as celebs. I think they must have really been desperate to go & get 2 american celebs to come into the house!

Really feel for Barrymore in there - I used to love him as a presenter & to see him as he is now is mental. He really is a broken man. Who knows what happened that night with the guy in his pool - no use speculately!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

You know what I find really freaky ..

"You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round round .."

Pete looks completely freaky!! His lips are all distorted ("right round round round :D ). Ahhhh ... and the red lippy does nothing to rectify the situation.
And he was topless - gross - looked really wierd .. I felt sick.

There is also another girl there suffering from over botoxication - Jodi Marsh. Either she has really bad aim with the lippy stick or her lips have too much botox in them.

It is an odd crowd alright.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,575 ✭✭✭✭FlutterinBantam

    Odd! ODD!

parasites who have reached the bottom and will do anything..... anything ..to get themselves back in the public eye again....I would not lift a little finger to do anything.... anything... anything to help those pathetic goons to achieve their aim.... i.e. fleece the gullible public into thinking they have anything to contribute to society.

What Channell is it on????....so I can avoid it

They have quite a twist this year. 8 of the contestants are not celebrities and, they have to convince Michael Barrymore and Dennis Rodman, that they are.
