I think all the people that whinge and moan all day on here about what a mess "they" are making of it should be forced to run the country for a year and find out how difficult it is in reality. That'd soon sort them out, or make us bankrupt, whichever happens first.

I'd sooner vote for the admins of boards.ie to run the country than any of the "real" politicians out there...

    (now theres a thought...)

Amp for Finance Minister! Think of how much extra revenue he could bring in with his cross dressing shenanigans!

Unfortunately it doesn't really matter who you vote for, lest we forget that FG weren't any better the last time they had their turn at the controls.

"So vote for a smaller party/independent then" I hear you say. Nice idea, except that in order to form a government, they have to sign up with one of the "big two", thus we're going to be stuck with the same shower of corrupt, greedy politicians we've always seemed to have in this country. :(

I'd vote for PDs, but I probably won't vote.

If the country is good I might give it to them.

Should this not be in politics?

    pighead ftw

    (sorry)

Pighead wouldnt be able to do anything!hes all talk(which is good) but no substance.Fine Gael/Labour would be a good combination.I would see Pat Rabbitte as being the best politician in the country.

Fine Geal are the lesser of two evils, so i'd go with a Fine Geal/Labour coalition. Any coalition with the Greens wouldn't last 6 months.

    Most plausible suggestion I've seen.

    FG/Labour

Deffenatly time for a change if ask me...

    2 cents.

I would see Pat Rabbitte as being the best politician in the country.

Aye, whatever about his political leanings, Rabbitte is by far the best speaker in the house, and comes across as being the brightest, which I suppose is probably the same thing...

i think the average pc with a bit of suitable software(how to run a country by microsoft) could make better decisions than the entire fianna fail party .we can clear out the dail and stick a supercomputer in there with a line of printers printing off descions for the civil servants to implement, couldnt be much worse than the current crowd.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 806 ✭✭✭Atrocity

I hear what you are all saying about Fianna Fail, but seriously, Pat Rabbitte? Christ almighty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,910 ✭✭✭✭RoundyMooney

Compared to the rest of em yea... based on personality alone. I wouldn't give him a seat on Killinaskully parish comittee based on his political leanings, but I have to admit Gerry Adams is some operator.

    ;-)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 806 ✭✭✭Atrocity

He's one smooth operator. I want him on my team

hear, hear. at least he's good at *pretending* to have general interests at heart, which can't be really said about the others.

sure we all know it's civil servants who really run the country anyway, and they're not elected.........................

I'm voting for Deloitte and Touche, they already run the country, might as well cut out the middle men.

(edit: I honestly can't decide if I should put a smiley in with that or not)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,396 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Not the worst idea I've ever heard stevenmu, thought tbh I said the same thing last time this came up, I honestly want Dev to run, I the users of boards.ie are approaching a critical mass where we could actually get him elected!
