I don't know where is the most suitable place for this. I'm looking to buy about 100 black shirts for a company. They are looking for good quality black shirts, the type that would retail for perhaps €30 in a shop. Long sleeve, collar, no pockets, buttoned and they must be black. If anyone has any idea where to get them, or where I should look for information on where to get them, please let me know.

    Cheers.

Are they for a catering company? If they are - Sweeny oRourkes will order them in for you.

    google for SS Uniform

I don't think the SS uniform would go down too well:o

DellGirl, not for catering, just general black shirts as I described, but yes, the type you may see on a waiter. Just a nice black shirt, with no pockets. Who are O'Rourkes? Where would I find out more information about them? Can they only order for catering companies?

    Cheers

Have a look and see if anything suits check under the other sections as well you might come across something.

Think it would be hard to find something without pockets in a shirt but I think te second link ie. the Professional polo could suit you.

PM me if you see something on the 5.11 site that fits the bill and I will sort out a quote for you.

Another option would be to buy white ones or dark ones and dye them black. Some dry cleaners / laundry services used to do this a long time ago, not sure if any still do. Well you'll probably have to talk to a laundry service at some stage perhaps ?

http://www.fruitoftheloom.com/ they do a lot of the unbranded shirts that are then branded and worn by demonstrators etc.

    More specifically: http://www.fruitoftheloom.be/en/index.htm

I would contact a number of advertising gifts (promotional goods) companies and ask them. I have seen similar shirts for around EUR 20 or less.

Have a look at www.hackman.ie for example. They have a nice looking shirt here http://www.hackman.ie/78P.66.jpg (order code 78P.66). You get it with the frames by navigating from www.hackman.ie -> Caps&CLothing -> T-Shirts&Sweaters. The ones on the picture are not in black, but I am sure they can source black for you as well.

The price of that shirt is EUR 14.76 for more than 60. Maybe you get it even cheaper for 100.

I have seen a similar shirt (but with pockets) in a catalogue from ASA Marketing and am sure that most advertising gift companies have shirts like that.

You can find a list of SOME companies in that area on http://www.salesexpo.ie/exhibitor/index.htm. However, this list is only a fragment of all companies and the yellow pages might be a better source.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks for the great help everyone. Unfortunately Polo's are out of the question. I want a simple black shirt, collar, long sleeve, black buttons with no pockets. Not striped or silky or shiney or anything, just 100 plain black shirts:) I think I may just have to go around to a few different shops, find one I like and ask who the supplier is. Hopefully they will tell me!

    Cheers!

I deal with Sweeney O'Rourke - their telephone no. is 6777212.

They're on Pearse Street. Not sure whether they deal with the public or not though!

You could try Orrwear in Dublin 1 on 8743382 or Penta Products in Blackrock on 2950320!

Pennys do shirts, including black ones for €6, but they have pockets. Not terrible quality at all.
