There's a potentially excelent Asian cinema series starting on BBC4 from Tuesday 10th Jan-24th Jan. He'll be looking at Japanese cinema (Live action and anime), Hong Kong cinema and Korean cinema. There's also an accompanying season of films being shown. The links can be found here:

Why we need BBC4! Its the sort of thing C4 used to do alot of before they found they could fill the schedule with BB.

Except that they'd be showing Takeshi miike films instead of Beat Kitano.... "Now, the full, uncut,Peter-Jackson-style edition of Ichi The Killer ...... with 120 mins more gore".
Surprised they don't have "Infernal Affairs" as one of the Hong Kong films or any films from Woo, Lau, Leung,Fat etc...

    FULL TIME KILLER
    Johnnie To, Hong Kong, 2001
    Tuesday 17 January 2006
Two top assassins go head to head in this action thriller. O is reclusive yet infamous, Tok is young and brash. Both fight for the affections of the same lady.

Bump, okish movie ending is fairly odd and can be seen a mile away.
