The Hard Drive on my Desktop is now full, im wondering what is the best action to take.
Can I install a second HD? will this cause problems?
    or
Should i just buy a new one and replace the old one?

    I appreciate any advise.

    Thanks in advance.

Just make sure you get the appropriate type of disk - i.e. IDE or SATA.

and when you get the new one copy loads of stuff off the current one. don't leave it full because its always good to have space on your windows partition. do you know about setting master/slave etc

Save up and buy a decent sized one too, they always fill up sooner than you think!

    Thanks for all the suggestions

how would i go about setting up the master/slave?

Can i find out if i need IDE or SATA by looking in device manager or should i just open up the box?

You should be able to tell in device manager. If you have any SATA controllers listed, then SATA's what you want. Many motherboards take both SATA and IDE.
