    Ballyhurry Loyal servant to J Breslin and trainer Goldie for the past 4 years, this middle distance handicapper is as tough as they come and has improved his winning rating from [49] as a 5yo - to [68] as an 8yo - quite remarkable given the usual deterioration patterns. No stranger to the flat course here either, 5 of his 11 wins have been at Musselburgh.

    He has had 3 hurdle runs to date - 2 here over 20f - the latest 18L behind Some Touch (2nd in the Martell bumper in 2005). With good ground and 4f less to travel tomorrow he shouldn't be too far away from the well weighted ex-flat favourite Premier Dane [93] (irish rating) or beaten favourite last time out, Estepona [82].

    Estepona looks outright winner in this, Graham Lee onboard in G Wylies colours, disapointing in Dec but fairly good in this field. Anyone else think good enought to do it?

    the forecast was poor but the generous odds of 20/1 against the 3rd did me ok tho.. pity the outsider didn't run half a second faster..
