Would I be right in saying, you are able to use most film-SLR lenses on a Digital camera, but you can't use Ditigal Lenses on a film-SLR?

Not strictly try but you've got the right idea. There's not really any such thing as a "Digital Lens" but there are lenses designed for the smaller sensors in Digital SLRs (like Canons EF-S lenses)

Most of the EF lenses on cannon will work with a lot of the analoges also. It all depends on the make and model i suppose.

I only know about the Nikon lenses so here's the deal with them:

The Nikon DX lenses are designed for the small sensor Nikon Digital SLRs, you can use them on film SLRs but with some of them your pictures will have a vignette where the field of view of the lens wasn't large enough for the film area resulting in dark areas at the corner of the pics. As far as I know you can use all Nikon 'film' lenses (except for really old non-AI lenses) on the digital SLRs without a problem.
