I have a hibernian Ignition course to attend tomorrow. I have a huge problem. I mislaid my drivers licence today so have no time to get a replacement before tomorrow! Will they still let me take the course?? I really can't afford the cost if they turn me away.
    Advice needed asap!

The Gardai took it off you over Christmas didn't they? ;)

I could be way off on this one, but if you told your local station that you had this tmoz and you lost it, perhaps they might be able to look you up /verify you ?? Send you in with a little note :D

Good idea but I can't go tonight as I've to look after my ill father and have the course at 9am tomorrow

i think your fairly screwed then. You'd better hope for a male examiner tomorrow, wear a low cut top and a teeny weeny skirt and you'd never know. ;)

But if I explain to them that I lost it yesterday and didn't have time to go to the Gardai then surely they'll understand?

could call your local garda station now, and explain situ and say you ll be down first thing tomorrow morning with another form of i.d.
Garda station is always open so it doesnt matter if you go really early, before your test.

im sure they will accept what your saying, but thing is im sure for legal reasons and for there own security they will need some proof that you have a licence of some sort..

What about the rule that you must carry a licence at all times when driving?!

Well, when doing my ignition I can clearly recall them looking at my license. (Not during the talk, but during the actual drive)

I dont mean to be harsh, but you WILL need your license to carry out the ignition test.

GETT THEE TO A GARDA STATION

Get a "lost licence" form from the copshop(most of them have them in),fill it in there and the gaurds will stamp it,bring this along with you and you should be fine.

Also do you have a hibernian policy out already?if you do and you provided them with your licence number to get the penalty point discount, ring the company and ask for the licence number to further back you up.
