I had a 40 Gig 3g Ipod and I recently upgraded to an iAudio X5 60gig which i have not regretted one bit but there is one annoyance i have, a fair few of my albums and songs are not tagged properly and as a result they either do not appear in the correct order in the file (the album is sorted Alphabetically) on the X5 or appear in the format "Artist - Album - Track Name" (see pic below) and as a result it hard to find individual songs without waiting for the screen to scroll across to the track name, which is quite annoying at times! i would like all the songs in each album to appear like this:

    01 - Song Name
    02 - Song Name
    03 - Song Name

What i want to stop happening:
This, where the artist and album appear before the song....

...and this, where the tracks are in alphabetical order as opposed to track number

So, any suggestions as to how to do this?, i know there are tagging programs out there but i wouldn't have a clue which one to use and how to use it and i'd be afraid that i would somehow make it worse.

I use mp3tag. Small and simple, and if your files are already tagged then it'll only take a matter of seconds to change the filenames to the format that you want.
