Ok, since yesterday, MSN Messenger has been saying to my contacts that im offline, when im on, as a result, they cant invite me into new conversations. I installed MSN Plus without any problems a few months ago and i've had no problems since. Its not just my programme, i tried to go to webmessenger and the same thing happened, it came up that i was offline.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas whats wrong?
    Thanks

as soon as i open messenger there's an option in the top left: always sign in as. you can pick there to sign in as online or offline.

also once you're signed in click file->my status->online

your not getting windows messenger and msn messenger mixed up are you?

I seem to rem they work partially with each other but it caused a hell of a lot of confusion for me on a new PC ..... untill I figured out I was trying to access my buddies using W mess instead of Msn mess :(

Maybe going to MSN.com and downloading it again might help?

I tried that, it didnt help. I found some site and followed some instructions off it to delete afolderin the registry. I did that and it has worked, all my (crap) emoticons are gone though.
