this keeps happening on boards. its fine when i open a page for the first time but usually when i open a new tab from the page and go back to it, its gone like that. i'm fairly sure it's something to do with adblock. any ideas how to stop it?

Try unblocking the image delete the adblock and create a new one, It happened to me too see here let it show up for a while and then try blocking it and it should go away. I remember unblocking it stopped it overshadowing the quicklinks. What version off Firefox are you on? I'm on FF 1.5 and it happened to me straight away after upgrading from 1.07 to 1.5 Hope it helps.

N.b. The mods don't like blocking the ads as it brings in the cash as you know.

^use adblock plus instead, fixed the problem for me and also you can use it to have the ad downloaded every time but not be displayed so you can still support boards.ie

I used remove it permenantly to get rid of the blank areas, or something like that.

Is it only click throughs that count on the ads ?
