I just got a new mp3 player there for christmas but when i connect it to my PC with USB it pops up in the bottom right hand corner of the screen in XP saying new hardware connected, installed and all that stuff.
But when I go to find it in My Computer its not there.
I've tried going in to Disk Management but its not visible there either.
It works alright because I connected it to my dad's laptop and it came up grand.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has experienced this problem before.
    Thanks

Hmm not the reason I was thinking so. I had the same problem here at work beacsue the mp3 player was hiding behind a network drive. I don't think it happens if the drives are physical drives though. It might be a problem with the driver on your pc. If you dpuble clcik on the green arrow USB icon in the system tray is there any yellow exclamation mark beside the name of the device?

What operating system are you using and is it running the latest service pack?
Could be in need of a service pack.

    - Firstly, confirm that it is listed in Device Manager (And that there is no driver error (!) )
    - Open Disk Management and look for it there

    - With iPOD's (And maybe others) you may have to explicitly Enable Disk Access (via iTUNES)
