Not really. You have to know what to look for. There are thousands of laws and plenty of permutations. It simply wouldn't be possible to have a big Legal-Illegal list of actions.

www.irishstatutebook.ie is a good place to start though

    http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/ - not a run down though
    http://www.courts.ie

many govt sites have some laws explained - consumer / driving etc.

    Ah right.
    Thanks folks.

The laws I'm researching are in relation to concerts.
Does that narrow it down at all?

alternatively your best bet is a library. I do law and I know that even if you look over what you think is the relevant statute etc, you may be missing out on something. Therefore I reccomend that you go to a good library (if you're a student then UCD,Trinity,UCC etc, if not then try to get into the law sections of these) and look for books relating to media law. Haven't tackled the subject yet so I cant make any reccomendations but I'm sure someone around here has?!

If you're looking at it from the other side maybe try the gov's site for business - http://www.basis.ie/

Festivals and Concerts can also tend to fall under the remit of local bye-laws; What is OK in one place (e.g. in Slane) may not be OK in another (e.g. Millstreet). You won't find these bye-laws in the statute book.

If you're doing research for a particular event or an article or something, perhaps find someone in your local Co. Council offices that you could speak to about it?

that is true, and that is why I hate the fact that ingorance of the law is no defence, how are you meant to know the law, the law enforcers are also ignorant. Some are obviously wrong but many people break the law all the time. Recording coronation street could be viewed as theft, like those ads about stealing dvds at the start of films. I think reversing out of a driveway is illegal too.
In the US there are some bizarre laws in certain states, e.g. it is illegal to peel an orange in hotel rooms in some state. Are there any bizarre laws here?

If not, it should be. And where they do it on the driving test at a t-junction should be too.

You mean like being allowed to drive home after failing your driving test ?
    Or the many loopholes..

Best bet might be to contact someone else who has setup a concert in the same county / area and see how they approached it.

That is a good point, but probably true in many countries. Loopholes or odd laws was what I was after. You know the one about getting the freedom of the city and being allowed to graze sheep on stephens green or something. Or the one about requesting a garda to cover you up as you take a crap in his cap in the middle of grafton street (urban myth!).

Best bet might be to contact someone else who has setup a concert in the same county / area and see how they approached it.
I don't get what you are on about
