    Just did a format and re-install device manager is wining that it has no drivers for an SM bus controller - what is it?

    System Management Bus controller 0

    You probably didn't install the Intel Inf. Stick in your Motherboard CD and install the chipset drivers. Should solve d problem

    Have you installed the motherboard chipset drivers?
    That'll probably sort it.

    all the drivers came on one cd - and i installed all them

    Strange, they should solve the problem.

    In device manager, right click and update driver. Point to the cd if neccessary. See what that does.
