Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Who plays this?

    If you do, who are you onnit?

    If you don't, why not? It's a great land of fun, cabbages and bathrobes.

    Located at discworld.atuin.net, it can be quite difficult when starting off, what with being entirely text based, but there are great help systems for newbies.

    Word of warning, though, it's highly addictive.

    Back when I was a kid I played this!! Man, so many wasted hours and we were on dial up. I shudder to think how many days old my character is/was and how much that cost my parents.

    yes, everyone should play this! :D even though the server is a bit iffy at the moment they are moving the game to a new server soon *hopefully* so the lag issues should be resolved. I guess its too early to go to one, but theres a MUDmeet in london in february.

    I never liked MUDs but I was thinking of opening up a Diskworld Fans Guild in world of warcraft - I prefer to see what I'm doing :)

    I'm Shardik of the Vulnerable Council of Seers (4th level wizard). But it's some time since I've been on, will probably pick it up again later on though. Great MUD... I started reading the books only after playing this MUD, a previous housemate of me is a Creator on this MUD and told me about it when the discussion about MUDs came up one day.
