I have 2 lans that I want to keep seperate - pcs on one shouldnt be able to access pcs on the other.

one lan is 192.168.0.x the other 192.168.1.x - I have a dsl router 192.168.0.1 - I want boths lans to access the internet via the router but no other computers on the other lan,

do i need a firewall? - is there anything else I need?

    Thanks

you need a router with a vlan capability. A firewall is really necessary also. I recommend a Draytek Vigor router.

They have VPN end points, QOS, VOIP ports, VLans and so on - the best price performance you can get.
