Yes.. one of the films of 2006 i've been really looking forward to is the strange but quite intriguing film "Slither" starring Firefly / Serenity's own Capt. Mal Reynolds, Nathan Fillion along with Michael Rooker. Ever since seeing the trailer, it's definantly been on my To-See list for the coming year.

According to IMDB, the UK / US release date is 31 March 2006.

Yet Entertainment Ireland has a review up for it already (3/4 stars, by the way), along with it's listing being in the Coming Friday section under Cinema Listings.

So.. mistake by Entertainment Ireland or is this true?

Which trailer is this, may i ask?..

.. cos i only have information on the release of the film in the US based on the US Trailer just says "Coming Soon" (though the banner on the Apple.com site says March 31st 2006) and all the US Movie Sites (not to mention the film's official site) report the release date as March 31st 2006.

Iftn.ie also list it as being out on the 6th.
I trust them more than any other site for getting release dates right.

Had a feeling it was too good to be true... can't see it showing anywhere!

    :(

UPDATE: It's not listed in either the 'Coming Friday' or the 'New Releases' section of Entertainment Ireland now

I'm so looking forward to this movie, one of the most anticipated films for me personally since Episode III and potentially the most anticipated personal horror film yet. I got a subscriber text today and an email telling me Slither was one of the Jan 6 releases?

Someone will die if I miss out on this in the cinema...

    http://www.slithermovie.net/

the logo has the tagline "in cinemas everywhere march 31st 2006" underneath it. released 3 months before the official website date?

you sure you werent getting an update on the trailer release?

Nope, I got a message with more or less the following:

    New releases, 6-1-06 - 1) Just Friends 2) Slither 3) etc....

Obviously it must be wrong but as long as that's all it is, then it's not too bad...

Well.. that could possibly be the American release date.

We got 'Saw' here a few weeks before the US... wouldn't be a huge suprise if we got this also!
