ask the lads in the Mac fourm i sure they can help.
I will be switching to OS x soon also (when they move to x86). Just make a list of the software you use then see if its supported by OS x if its not see what OS x uses for that then install it on your windows box and see if you like it.

If you are not in a rush you could wait till the mini switches to x86 so you could have the best of both worlds

any ideas when this might happen ?

tbh - it's the small format of the box that appeals to me as much as the OS

The rumors are during the apple 2006 expo January 9 to 13th. But i am note sure if they will release a x86 mini mac then, no one knows really. Just keep an eye on slashdot.

got myself a mac mini, but use it merely for downloading, as it only uses a tenth of my main rig's power consumption.
nice machine though, very good to hide too

Yes I did, I have a 1.42GHz model (with 1GB RAM), the biggest issue I have is the disc space, 80GB is not enough, you need to get an external drive as well. I have a 2GHz P-M laptop as well (which is faster) but prefer to use the Mac.

Yeah, I have one. Bought a kvm too so I can use the pc and the mac with the same display. It's is class but to be honest I still use my pc more. I think if you move your email and favourite programs over to it you'll use it much more.
