Nero 7 uninstall error.

    Ok,
    Tried to uninstall nero 7 because its a load of pants and go back to nero 6. When I tried to uninstall it I got this error : http://members.boards.ie/garth_v/error.JPG
    Tried just to install 6 over it but it keeps telling me theres a newer version available. Tried to reinstall 7 but I just get the same error halfway through the install. Any idea's folks?
    Or possibly better alternatives to nero as I really liked its layout
